The Corporate Tree

Outside my window at work, there are two very tall trees in our courtyard. Since I’m on the 5th floor, I get a great view of the very top of the tree.

Since it’s winter and all, all the leaves are turning a very rusty-looking brown. One tree, however, has one branch on the very top of the tree that’s still green. The rest of the tree looks practically dead, but the top of the tree has managed to hang on.

We’ve dubbed it the corporate tree, sacrificing the bottom to save the top.
