This is the point where this site becomes a cat blog

Meet Gypsum.
Jessica and I have been talking for awhile now about getting a pet of some sort. We went back and forth between a dog or a cat for awhile, but finally decided on a cat after a visit to the Humane Society.
I’ve never had a pet before, so it’s taken some adjustment on my part. She’s been a remarkably good cat for the most part. She’s very sociable and hasn’t torn up anything yet. We even have her “trained” to sleep on her own little bed instead of all over the house. I’m told that training a cat to do anything is an exercise in frustration, so I think if this whole web design thing doesn’t work out, I’ll get a job as a cat whisperer.
Gypsum’s been fairly feisty the last couple of days, though. She hasn’t been spayed yet, so she’s looking for some kitty-love, but we don’t have any to give. We’re taking her to the vet Tuesday to get fixed, though, so hopefully she’ll be back to her adorable, laser-chasing self in now time.
